CDS Hails Defence Minister Badaru at 63, Praises His Visionary Leadership

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, OFR, has congratulated the Honourable Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru, on his 63rd birthday, describing him as “a leader of great vision, humility, and patriotism.”

In a statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, General Musa, on behalf of officers, men, and women of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, extolled the Minister’s contributions to national defence and security.

According to him, “the Honourable Minister’s unwavering commitment to national service has significantly contributed to strengthening Nigeria’s defence and security architecture.”

General Musa further lauded Alhaji Badaru’s steadfast support and exemplary leadership, noting that his role has inspired the Armed Forces in their constitutional responsibilities. “The Honourable Minister has, through his dedication, fostered synergy among the Services and defence institutions, thereby enhancing operational effectiveness and boosting the morale of personnel across all theatres of operation,” the CDS said.

He also described Badaru’s leadership style as “a source of encouragement, not only to the military but to the nation at large.”

While rejoicing with the Minister on his new age, General Musa prayed that Almighty God grants him long life, wisdom, and strength. “We pray that Almighty God grant him many more years of sound health, divine wisdom, and enduring strength to continue serving the nation and humanity with distinction,” he added.

On behalf of the Armed Forces, the CDS wished the Minister a happy birthday and many happy returns.
