DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: JANUARY 7 WHY SATAN CAN’T STOP YOU (3) SCRIPTURE: Isa. 1: 18; 41: 21; Ezek. 18: 3 – 9
In today’s devotional on “Satan Cannot Stop You” two critical areas will be looked into, where Satan has made many people believed him without argument. These are the issue of sins and the fear of untimely death. Satan had used remind of old sins committed to destroy people’s confidence of moving forward in the faith in God. He would severally come to someone telling him/her that the sins committed before repenting from them are still hunting them. It is true that sins separate mankind from God, but God says He has no pleasure in the death of a sinner (Ezek. 33: 11). God said that should a son repent of his sin and turn sincerely to God, even the sins of his father on the son will no longer be remembered (Ezek. 18: 3-9). Are you there? Keeping yourself away from God because of your old sins? God said you are forgiven. Therefore, Satan cannot use sins to block you from approaching God for blessings. He himself asked us to come to Him for reasoning together with Him as well as presenting our case before Him for discussion over the wrong we have done (Isa. 1: 18; 41: 21). God says that if we are bold to meet Him confessing our sins and forsaking them, He will wash us as clean as wools, no matter the dirtiness of our sins (Isa. 1: 18). The beloved, can you go to God today and table your cases before Him? He will show you how Satan can no longer stop you.
Satan knows how human beings dread death. So he always torments us with idea of dying and suggesting to us where to go other than God’s mercy seat. Many human beings can resist Satan to stick to God in other areas of sufferings, but not issue of death. Christians who are so vast with God’s words in the Bible can stop Satan from using death to torment them. God promised His Children of longevity in the Bible. Is Satan saying you may die soon? Tell him that the Bible says your least number of years on earth may be 70 years or even 80 years (Psa. 90: 10). The Bible quoted God saying that His Spirit will not abide with human Being forever because of their sins; but human being will reach age of 120 years (Gen. 6: 3).
One other things Satan has used in blocking people from going along with God intimately so that God’s blessings and favour will be for them is craving for riches and prosperity. Any Christian who allows Satan uses this to block him/her is not verse with the Bible. As long as you are faithful with God, He has riches and wealth awaiting you. The Bible says that: “Long life” is in the right hand of Divine wisdom and at her left is riches and honour (Prov. 3: 16). If you want to live long, ask God for life and length of years and He will give them to you forever and ever (Psa. 21: 4). Never allow Satan to take you to where you are to offer anybody for ritual sacrifice for riches and wealth. God is He who give people the ability to produce wealth (Deut. 8: 18). Be faithful and obedient to His words. Then ask Him to teach your hand how to make wealth (Isa. 48: 17). My dearest in the LORD, if you acquaint yourself with the knowledge of God, Satan cannot stop you in anything. Hear one Mia Hamm in this quote: “Failure happens all the time. It happens every day in practice. What makes you better is how you react to it.”
PRAYERS:
1. Prayerfully ask God to show you ways to please Him so that your days on the earth will be long and fulfilling in Jesus name.
2. Pray and demand from God to enable you to be diligent in all your ways and crown you with wisdom how to become genuinely rich and wealth without compromising in evil practices in Jesus name.
DECLARATION: I declare upon my life, fruits of righteousness and wisdom to be rich and wealthy in Jesus’ mighty name!
