A deeper retrospection on happenings in the world from its inception points at one unique fact. Many happenings are either recycling or metamorphosing in different shapes, sizes, colorations, natures, magnitudes and phenomenon. Today’s devotional aims at practical and contextual build-ups, informing readers to see whatever the world is passing through today as never new. The Bible, the Christians great book puts this plainly in the lead passage above. Understanding the passage above will proffer solutions to many troubled hearts and minds. Verse 9 contains the main thrust of the devotional. It says: “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun” (Eccl. 1: 9 NIV).

Spiritual understanding of this piece was given to me as far back as about 1975 when the passage was given to me in dream for a funeral message. There has never been anything new under the earth and all that have been happening are never new. Our failure to apply our mind to the word of God, and our failure to keep history of events long enough; are reasons we see things happening around us as new. Political intrigue that has bedeviled the world started as early as the cradles of the world. Man rebelliousness against God is never new either. Is it ritual killings, tribal and regional wars; civil, international and intra-national conflicts? They are never new. The world has never been freed from wearisome events. Hear the Bible here: “All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eyes never have enough of seeing nor the ears its fill of hearing” (Eccl. 1: 8 NIV).

Hypothetical analysis of the events of the world shows that God has programmed things in their mystical forms that discerning what they stand for accurately will be difficult. Have human beings got reasons why people are dying and others are being born every day? Have we discerned enough facts why water from streams flow into rivers, the rivers flow into seas and seas flow into oceans; but the oceans are never overflowing its bounds?* Sun setting and rising goes with great mysteries following its course every day; and we never ponder how it returns to its rising position while we sleep. Geographers have theories of how winds blow. Do we not wonder how winds ever return to their course after blowing round and round? Academia will say they are normal and natural. The bottom line of it all is, God designed everything according to divine patterns.

PRAYER:

Almighty Father, I want to know more about how you put all things together in this world in such some mystical ways. I pray you deny me not of getting the understanding as it will draw me closer to you. I offer this prayer in Jesus name. Amen.
