Ohaukwu Stakeholders Endorse Tinubu, Nwifuru, Inyima, Lawmakers For 2027 Election

The stakeholders of Ohaukwu Local Government Area have endorsed President Bola Tinubu and the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for re-election to serve their second terms in office.

The event which took place at practicing school, Ezzangbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, also afforded the stakeholders the opportunity to also call on the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Capital City, Chief Sunday Elechi Inyima to present himself as an aspirant for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency.

Also endorsed were the members of Ohaukwu South and North Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Onah and Hon. Mrs Esther Agwu respectively for re-election.

During an interview with stakeholders, the Executive Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Ikechukwu Odono, who said President Bola Tinubu has done well by fufilling his campaign promises, also commended Governor Francis Nwifuru for the numerous appointment of Ohaukwu sons and daughters into political position of trust.

His words: “What prompted this endorsement is that Mr. President Bola Tinubu has done wonderfully well and so we deemed it necessary to endorse him. Also the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has also done wonderfully well.

‘He has done many roads from Umuogoduosha to Nigercem, Okposi to Ebonyi Local Government Area, industrial city in Ohaukwu and the human capital development. He has done so many legacy projects.

“The Commissioner for Capital City, Chief Sunday Inyima is a wonderful leader. He was the chairman from 2027 to 2013. He has done so much. Then, I was his PA and you can see I am the local government area.

Odono explained the reason to balance political power, ‘We have three bloc in Ohaukwu. We have Ezzangbo, Ngbo and Effium. The chairman is this time leaving Ezzangbo to Ngbo and the two houses of Assemblies are at Ngbo and the house of representatives is at Ngbo and now as for the house of representatives for equity and fairness should move to Ezzangbo and Sunday Elechi Inyima should come for house of representatives for Ohaukwu and Ebonyi Federal Constituency.

According to the chairman, Elechi has done wonderfully well ,adding that sine 2015, they started calling on him to contest the position. He also disclosed that the people adopted Rt. Hon. Chinedu Onah, Hon. Mrs Eather Agwu. He said it would be counterproductive not to allow Onah Chinedu to be re-elected, considering his position as a Deputy Speaker in Ebonyi State House of Assembly.

In another interview, Elder Amechi Igwe from Wigbeke Ward 2 in Ohaukwu North Constituency disclosed that in Ohaukwu Local Government Area, there are individuals who are masters in politics, saying that the people were gathered to endorse for second tenure President Bola Tinubu, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and also for the endorsement of Sunday Elechi Inyima for house of representatives.

‘Right Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State is a young man and a youth, but he has demonstrated the heart of an adult. What he has done , we didn’t know that he can have the heart to do it. It is so marvellous. And we love him.

“So, we are going to massively vote him back to the office come 2027. On the same vein, we want to equally bring up another vibrant youth. In the person of Honourable Sunday Elechi Inyima. He is the senior prefect of Ohaukwu politics. And he has demonstrated capacity in this game. But this time around, we want him to go to Abuja.

‘We equally want to maintain the leadership of Honourable Chinedu Onah. The current deputy speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly. We know that post is a sensitive position. So, we can’t afford to lose that position. He is a capacity leader too. We love him. We have another lady who is equally in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly,Hon. Mrs. Esther Agwu, she is going back too”, Igwe said.

In another a separate interviews, Hon. Emma Nwankwo and Barriater Egba Emmanuel, Special Assistant to the Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area and Secretary to Ebonyi State Board of Internal Revenue respectively, gave reaons for the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Francis Nwifuru, Sunday Elechi Inyima, Hon. Mrs Esther Agwu and Rt. Hon. Onah Chinedu.

Hon. Nwankwo said, “The truth about it is that if we watch over the years, Nigerian programme was not just done today. It was an accumulation of mismanagement. And when President Tinibu came into power, he is fixing everything gradually. Bit by bit. And I believe that within a short time, it will be there. That is the truth about it.

“Going back to Ebonyi State, you have seen the extravagant developmental strategies by the present government. Let me say Ebonyi State is blessed by the various governments that govern the state. But this appears to be exceptional.

“If you watch in the area of education, the area of healthcare delivery, agriculture, and a lot of them, the infrastructural development activities. If you look at education, and this overseas scholarship, over 1,000 persons. So, the government is doing very well, wonderfully well. He deserves even a second tenure, more than a second tenure, if he has to do it.

“And you come back to Ohaukwu/Ebonyi federal constituency, I belong with the man that has a lot of things to give. Not only that he has been very patient, building people, building institutions, but he has delivered. A man tested, and trusted. That is the way I see it. When you talk about the Ohaukwu South constituency, it is not easy for a particular people to be identified as a potential candidate.

‘So, what should they do now? Indeed, he should go back. Not minding whatever anybody might say. It is not easy. The position is not the position today. It is not only for the constituency, but indeed, for the entire state. We talk about our sister. We talk about… You see, if we talk about gender biasness, that is where she will come in. And not only that”, Nwankwo stated.

Emmanuel Egba has this to say,”They came en masse to call on the beloved son of the constituency to go for a position of honour. That is, Chief Honourable Sunday Elechi Inyima to go for the position of Member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal constituency, gathered here to call on him, having critically, sagaciously assessed him, and know that he is very much fits as a round bowl, or whatever I call it, in a round bowl.

“So at this moment, to call on him to come for this position, and to have used this opportunity to give unanimous adoption of His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Right Honourable Builder Francis Ogbonna to, to go for his second tenure as Governor of Ebonyi State, having satisfactorily assessed him that to his position, the youth of Ebonyi State are being remembered, including myself, who is the academic, but they brought me into the State Revenue Board to help to re-engineer that sector’Egba said.

Speaking on behalf of the people of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Hon Nwibo Clestine, said that he was very impressed with the turnout of supporters for call for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Francis Nwifuru and Hon. Onah Chinedu and Hon. Mrs Esther Agwu to be reelected.

While describing Hon. Sunday Elechi Inyima, Nwibo said, “He’s somebody that has had patient for long. And today, it’s his own turn.Really, he has had patient.And this very occasion that we gather here today, we take him to Abuja at the 2027 election”, Hon. Nwibo said.

For the people of Effium Ward 1 and Effium Ward 2, Including Wigbeke Ward 3, Hon. Awoke John, Hon. Monday Nwenyim and Hon. Beatrice Onyike respectively disclosed, the purpose of the gathering was, “We are here to endorse Mr. President Bola Ahmed for second tenure. We are here to ask our beloved father, Ogbonna Francis Nwifuru, the peace-loving governor, to please prepare himself for his second tenure because it’s a done deal.

They added, we are here is to adopt our dear father, the senior prefect of Ohaukwu politics, to please make himself available to contest for a position of Ebonyi/Ohaukwu federal constituency as a House of Representatives member.

“We are here to adopt Chinedu Onah to go back so that that position . We are equally here to implement what we call gender equality of the women to represent us in my own constituency, because we don’t need any other person there. We need her for her peace-loving administration, for the love she has for her constituencies”, they stated.
