- Firstly, for record purpose, The leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN dissociate her self from this purported conferment has it never originated from the legitimate leadership of Nigeria Youth who from her Maiden National Executive Council meeting announced embargo on all form of AWARD CONFERMENT on individual or institution till further notice.
- That acclaimed youth who championed the charade are rootless entity in Nigeria Youth movement and has being reported to appropriate security agency for immediate action on series of impersonation and extortion of fund from unsuspecting member of the public under pretence, reliable source confirm their mission to Chief Obasanjo is to tap from is network within and outside the shore of Nigeria to validate their fraudulent business of award presentation for Cash with special target on some state Governors hence they brought forth sum of 1million Naira as donation to Chief Obasanjo Library to attract consent of Former president to their quest.
- It become worrisome, the desperate attempt of some rootless individuals in youth movement to bring respected elder Statesman like chief Olusegun Obasanjo into disrupt, it amount to legendary stupidity of any sane mind to attempt buying the consent or endorsement of high Chief Olusegun Obasanjo the former CinC Federal Republic of Nigeria with such ridiculous Greek gift of 1million naira donation to his library to legalize and validate there illegality for whatever reason, we hereby call for immediate end to such dubiously adventure capable of dragging the image of respected elder statesman into mould and set him upset against Nigerian youth.
- Our leadership shall end the extortion of unsuspecting public with fraudulent award by this fraudulent impersonators in due course while appealing for calm from entire Nigerian youth community as well call for Stay Off Execution of action earlier plan to match to Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to retrieve the fake honor as the legitimate leadership of NYCN are on top of the situation.
- An attempt to gain undue media prominence and attention from Former President by this rootless impersonators of NYCN leadership while the legitimate Leaders of the youth apex body are busy working out Modalities, strategies and action plan on burning issues of National interests ranging from increase crime and criminality among young people, illicit drug and content abuse, Cultism, kidnapping, Banditry and other insecurity challenges confront our dear nation condemnable. Gathering to honor individuals or group is least expected of any responsible, reasonable and resourceful NYCN leadership at this material time in the life cycle of young Nigerians and our dear country state of affairs hence we distance the Council from this misplace of priority show of lost and lack of direction jamboree.
- The Leadership of NYCN enjoins Chief Olusegun Obansanjo who is a true lover and father of young Nigerians and entire Nigeria nation, considering his track record and unprecedented show of love and level of commitment to youth inclusion in governance from his days as president and Commander in Chief of Federal Republic of Nigeria till date, who appointed youngest Nigerian as Minister into Federal Cabinet, Created office of Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Student matter, created Federal Ministry of Youth and sport development among other uncommon gesture towards youth development in Nigeria to as a matter urgency reject this controversial fake honor to safe his hard earn image integrity and legacy of building unity among Nigerians and her stara with zero tolerant for illegality.
