DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONALS: MAY 27 THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT ON JESUS (2) SCRIPTURE: LUKE 22: 39 – 44; JOHN 11: 33 – 44

Spread the love

Yesterday’s devotional concluded that Christians can operate with the Spirit of Might because one of the expectations of Jesus on them is doing greater works of those He did in the period of His ministering. So, the Spirit of Might is very critical for all Christians to have a least of the share of its presence. Nothing amazes the people of the world than seeing extraordinary and supernatural manifestations of the Spirit of might. How wonderful and powerful would it be if the world sees about twelve General Overseers walking literally upon the ocean coming toward the coast! With the present world system that satanic people are building themselves in mysterious powers, is only the works through the Spirit of Might from the LORD Jesus that can humble the evil forces.

One of the shocking miracles of might Jesus did was the raising of Lazarus from death after four days of his been buried. This mighty work shook the Pharisees and the Sadducees and made them hasten up their plan to kill Jesus so that He should not turn the world after Himself (John 11: 33 – 44). We Christians of this age can genuinely raise the dead back to life. If it is genuinely done, the world will be attracted to God more. Archbishop Benson Idahosah of the blessed memory was known for raising more dead bodies from death in Nigeria. This made the whites people believed in Him more and all through his living on the earth.

Christians of our age can use The Spirit of Might in prayers as much as Jesus did. We are told prayer is the master key all Christians need, but is the most neglected activities of many Christians these days. Show me the Christian both the world and demons fear, and I will show you the Christian who prays fervently and prevailingly. Jesus prayed until blood started dropping from His body physically (Luke 22: 39 – 44). It was the mighty effects of John Knox prayer that made the Queen of Scots said “I fear John Knox’s prayers more than all the assembled armies of Europe.” His most and frequently quoted prayer phrase has been “Give me Scotland, Lord, or I die.” The present world, as said earlier needs people mighty in the world of God, in signs and wonders and in prayers now than ever before.

PRAYER:

MY FATHER AND MY GOD, I want more mighty work of the Spirit of Might, in signs and wonders, in powerful preaching of your words or in fervent and prevailing prayers to the glory of your name in the name of Jesus Christ.
