Women’s World Cup:Sen. OUK Commends Super Falcons for Qualifying for Round of 16, Urges them to Maintain Victory on Each Game

The Abia North Senator and former Governor of the Southeast State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has urged Nigeria’s female football side, the Super Falcons, to go all out for victory in all their remaining games in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

While congratulating the team on qualifying for the next round of the tournament, alongside fifteen others campaigning in the female mundial, the renowned football enthusiast and Chief Whip of the 9th Senate said the team had made the nation proud and challenged them to keep the Nigerian flag flying at the global event.

The Super Falcons, Monday morning, held the Republic of Ireland to a barren draw and effectively set the team up for a continuous title chase in the round of 16 where they will spar with England in their next march.
