CP Yusufu Assures Residents of Peaceful LG Poll, Lauds Zulum’s Commitment to Peace and Security

We are  ready and our men has undergone series of capacity building trainings  for adequate deployment and engagement at all levels to ensuring  peaceful Borno LG poll.

The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP ML Yusuf psc who gave the assurance yesterday Thursday at the command while addressing group of journalist  has lauded the commitment of gov. Zulum to peace, security and development of the state.

 

CP Mohammed Lawal Yusufu, reacting to journalist said the force is in tandem with world best practices of being  apolitical and committed to professionalism notes that the police force is a fore runner in the restoration peace and public civility.

 

He added, though, the state is under  Theatre Command operation where  the Nigerian Military is taking the lead however, commended the collaboration so far in the restoration of peace, civility and security under the able leadership of  the executive gov. of the state, H.E. Prof. Babagan Zulum.

 

CP Yusufu lauding the restoration vision of gov. Zulum, describes the professor   governor as a pragmatic governor whose restoration  vision has gradually ebbs  the state from a security tensed state to one  on the path of public peace & civility, security and development.

 

On mobilization and deployment officers, he said

“We are mobilizing our well trained and prepared  men to all LGA where the election will be conducted, deploying our men to all polling units for the election to ensuring peace and security.”

 

“All security agencies will be on ground across the 27 Local Government for this election, and we are confident that the military will be in the outer ensuring a free and secured access of materials, electoral officers and the public.

 

He calls the people of Borno State to collaborate with the security agencies towards the peaceful conduct of the election.

 

The CP adds that the state ministry of  information and internal security in collaboration with the  National Orientation Agency has had  continuous engagement through town hall meeting  with traditional ruler, civil society organization and the general public.
