House Schedules Date For Public Hearing on Marine Corps Bill

The Rep. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi-led House Committee on Navy  invites the general public, maritime stakeholders, and other interested parties to a Public Hearing on “A Bill for an Act to Establish the Nigerian Marine Corps to Promote Maritime Security and for Related Matters, 2023 (HB. 225).”

The  hearing according to press release e-signed by the House Spokesman, Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr.  aligns with the Legislative Agenda of the People’s House on Open Parliament (Agenda 6), underscoring the House’s commitment to fostering transparent, inclusive governance.

The public hearing is scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2024 by 2:00 PM at House of Representatives Temporary Chamber (Upper Floor), National Assembly Complex, Three Arms Zone, Abuja.

The Public Hearing according to the release will provides a platform for stakeholders and the general public to consider the bill’s merits and demerits and offer guidance to the House on its legislative action going forward.
