Ado Local Government Chairman Supervises Swearing-in of Supervisory Councillors

The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Oche Sunday Oche, yesterday presided over the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed Supervisory Councillors. The ceremony, held at the Council Hall of Ado Local Government Secretariat, saw the councillors pledge their allegiance.

Her Lordship Hasia Garba,Judge of the Upper Area Court who administered the oath, expresses her honor to be part of the event.

In a brief acceptance speech on behalf of the appointees, Hon. Quivina Uloko thanked the Chairman Engr. Sunny Oche for the opportunity to serve. She emphasized the need for community support in achieving the council’s development goals. “We need your support more than ever as we strive to take Ado to the next level,” she stated.

The Council boss, addressing the assembled guests, highlighted the importance of dedication and collaboration in fulfilling the councillors’ roles. “Your commitment to service will be crucial to the success of our administration,” he declared. He also acknowledged the support of key party leaders, including Vice Chairman Hon. Mrs. Jane Ikese, DGSA Comrade Pius Orokpo, Judge Hasia Garba, Leader of the Legislative House Hon. Agbo Adadu, Deputy Leader Hon. Otse Sunday Ogenyi, and other elected councillors. Further acknowledging the supoort of Chief Okibe Onoja, Chief Barr. John Ochoga, Hon. Omna Ogenyi, Hon. Innocent Agasi, Andrew Otokpa, George Onuh, Andrew Odumu, Mathew Egba, Emmanuel Eje and all well-wishers.

The Chairman according to a press release e-signed by His Chief Press Secretary, Samson Otokpa assigned portfolios to the newly sworn-in Supervisory Councillors as follows

1. Hon. Mrs. Jane Ikese – Vice Chairman, Works and Planning
2. Hon. Patrick Onmonya – Revenue and Finance
3. Hon. Mathias Ogbala – Health
4. Hon. Quivina Eve Uloko – Agriculture and Natural Resources
5. Hon. Abakpa Noble Friday – Education, Youth, and Sports

The event, significant for consolidating the legislative and executive branches of Ado Local Government administration, drew a large attendance of stakeholders, party leaders, local dignitaries, community members, families, and friends.
