

UNITED NATIONS AGENDA 2030: AMB. NWACHUKWU, DIRECTOR, SDG NATL’ STUDENTS COUNCIL EXTOLS PRESIDENTIAL AIDE, HON. SUNDAY ASEFON FOR DISTRIBUTION OF FREE JAMB FORMS FOR 500 INDIGENT STUDENTS
The Director of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) National Students Council, Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students Engagement, Ambassador Timothy Nwachukwu has commended Hon. Comr. Sunday Asefon, the Presidential Aide on Students Engagement for purchasing and ongoing distribution of free JAMB forms to 500 indigent students in Ekiti State.
Ambassador Nwachukwu while Speaking on the sidelines of the Central Bank Youth Action Summit, lauded Hon. Asefon’s gesture as a true embodiment of the spirit of Agenda 2030, which envisions quality education for all, especially the less privileged. “The kind act demonstrated by Hon. Asefon to empower 500 needy students in Ekiti State is a shining example of how leaders can play their part in ensuring that no one is left behind in the quest for sustainable development,” the SDG National Students Council boss stated.
*He emphasized that access to quality education is a fundamental right and a key SDG, which is critical to achieving all the other goals. Ambassador Nwachukwu said that by enabling the indigent students access JAMB forms, Hon. Asefon has paved the way for them to further their education and ultimately break the cycle of poverty. “We commend Hon. Asefon for his commitment to human capital development and inclusivity. His actions show that he prioritizes the empowerment of the next generation,” He said.*
Ambassador Nwachukwu used the opportunity to call on other leaders and stakeholders to emulate Hon. Asefon’s example by investing in education, the youth and the most vulnerable in society. She noted that governments, private sector, civil society and individuals must collaborate to bridge the inequality gap, especially in accessing quality education. “No individual, group or community should be left behind as we strive to achieve the SDGs by 2030. We all have a role to play,” she emphasized.
*The SDG National Students Council Director expressed hope that the 500 indigent students in Ado Ekiti who are only required to call 08035068687, 08060290485 for the free Jamb forms from Hon. Asefon’s generous gesture will make the best use of the opportunity and become agents of positive change in the future. He also promised that the Council will continue sensitizing the public on the importance of inclusive education and inspiring youths to be part of the SDG movement.*
Ambassador Nwachukwu reiterated that the kind of selfless act demonstrated by Hon. Asefon will hasten the attainment of the SDGs in Nigeria and advised all stakeholders to strive towards putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged, so that no one will be left behind as the world strives towards a better future for all by 2030.
