RESTORATION OF ELECTRICITY IN SECRETARIAT: Ado Council Staff Celebrate, Thank Sunny Oche For Unmatched Commitment to Staff Welfare and job delivery

Ado Local Government Area (LGA) is celebrating the restoration of electricity to its council secretariat after a 14-year darkness and power outage in the council secretariat.

Executive Chairman Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche upon resumption of office swings into action, ensuring the restoration of electricity, what seems impossible in the past 14 years; this restoration of electricity according to staff has significantly improved the working conditions of staff,  bolstering service delivery to the council areas.

A press statement by the SA Media and Strategic Communication Ado Local Government Council, Aluma Moses said the secretariat’s previous power sources failed due to a series of unfortunate events, including the collapse of the transformer and subsequent unsuccessful attempts at repair. For years, the secretariat relied on generators provided by the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs (BLCA), Makurdi.

The statement added  that Hon. Oche took swift action, immediately addressing the issue and installing a temporary power solution while working towards a permanent solution involving a new transformer. He has also initiated efforts to recover the original transformer, aiming for an amicable resolution with the contractor who currently possesses it.

“For too long, our secretariat was left in darkness,” Hon. Oche stated. “But today, there is light across the entire local government secretariat.” He expressed gratitude to the community for its support and reaffirmed his commitment to effective governance.

The restoration of electricity symbolizes a renewed commitment to progress and efficiency within Ado LGA. Hon. Oche’s proactive approach reflects his dedication to enhancing the quality of life for his constituents.

The Chairman also extended his appreciation to Benue State Governor, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for his unwavering support and commitment to the people of Ado.

The citizens of Ado LGA have warmly welcomed this development, viewing it as a testament to Hon. Oche’s leadership and a sign of future progress.
