CHILDREN’S DAY: Ezza South Boss Charges Teachers On Parental Role In School

The Chairman of Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Euphamia Nwali, on Tuesday charged teachers undertake parental roles in schools.
Mrs. Nwali, who stated this during this year’s Children’s day celebration at Onueke Township Stadium, said the teachers should not limit their roles to education and knowledge impartation.
She stated that every child has different talent the teachers should nurture and mould them according to their strength and weakness.
She encouraged parent, teachers and guidance to stand together in promoting empathy, kindness and understanding by encouraging open communication and reporting of bad incidents and fostering a culture of inclusive and respect.
Harping on the theme of this years celebration “Stand up, Speak up, Building a Bully-free Generation”, Nwali encouraged children to understand the consequences of bullying each other in the society.
Her words “it is my responsibility of ensuring that our children in Ezza south Local Government area are raise to compete favourable with their counterparts worldwide has been a major priority of my administration”.
“Like the wise saying goes Children are the future of all societies and Nation. Every serious minded nation will therefore take the development of her children with all serious”.
“So far since the inception of my administration the Council is working tirelessly to provide the children of Ezza south an environment that nurtures their talents, encourage their creativities and equip them with knowledge and skills they need to succeed”.
“As the theme of this year children’s day celebration “Stand up, Speak up, Building a Bully-free Generation” this can lead to further problems later in life”.
“Children who subjected tend to have a higher rate of substance abuse. Bullying cannot be written off as a rite of passage or part of growing up. Bullying can have serious consequences not only for the victim but also the bully themselves”.
“We believe that children are the creation of God and their innocence melts anybody’s heart. A child’s sweet smile brings a big smile on your face automatically. It acts as a softening balm to both parent and teachers”.
“School is considered to be second home fo,r your children, teachers should not only impart education and knowledge but also become parent in certain circumstance”.
“Therefore teachers should not leave any opportunity to let this treasure of talent out of their students as children need encouragement both at home and school”.
