

Senator Ken Eze Tasks River Basin Development Authorities On Water Needs Of Nigerians

The Vice Chairman Senate Committee on Water Resources and Sanitation Distinguished Senator Engr Kenneth Emeka Eze FNSE FNATE FCAI has charged the newly appointed Managing Directors of River Basin Development Authorities across the country to address the water needs of Nigerians in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR on water.
Sen Eze stated this yesterday when he received in courtesy the newly inaugurated Managing Directors in his office at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
He informed them that the increased budgetary allocation to the River Basin Development Authorities through the efforts of the Senate Committee is to ensure that good drinking water is made readily available to all Nigerians. He warned that the present 10th Senate will not entertain excuses from any underperforming federal government agency.
He assured them of the support and continuous collaboration of the National Assembly and wished them a successful tenure in office.
Earlier, the Managing Directors of the River Basin Development Authorities assured the Senate that they prepared to address the water needs of Nigerians which according to them is their cardinal mandate.
The Managing Directors who spoke through the Chairman of their forum described Sen Eze as a seasoned administrator and a goal getter whose efforts were critical to the improved budgetary allocation to their agencies.
He thanked Sen Eze for the warm reception and assured him of more collaboration and closer working between the River Basin Development Authorities and the Senate.
