PDP, LP In Tirades Over ADC Coalition Structure In Ebonyi
By Alex Odeh
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State and the Labour Party (LP) under the aegis of Obidient Movement, are at each other jugular over accusation of hijacking coalition structure in Ebonyi State.
The Labour Party (LP) had earlier on Tuesday accused the Ebonyi State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to be a ‘fractured and fragmented’ party known for their politics of acrimony and rancorous noise-making.
The Labour Party (LP ) conveyed the statement through the duo of Comrade Splendour Oko Eze and Dr. Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, Gubernatorial Candidate of LP, 2023 and Member, National Advisory Committee, Obedient Movement National Assembly Candidate of LP, 2023 and Member, National Advisory Committee, Obedient Movement, respectively.
However, in a swift backlash, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State dismissed the existence of Labour Party (LP ) in the state, describing the press statement credite to Comrade Splendour Oko Eze and Dr. Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh as empty and demanding to attention.
According to a press statement on Tuesday authored by Hon. Richard Nwafor, the Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP ), refuted the claims by the Labour Party( LP ) that PDP was ‘fragmented and fractured’, adding that PDP remains a one united party.
Hon. Nwafor said, “The press release was empty and doesn’t demand the attention of PDP as a party; LP does not exist in Ebonyi State, as such, the statement was signed by faceless individual without any iota of political relevance.
“For clarity, we have no LP in Ebonyi, since Julius Abure and his co-travellers sent the internet organisation into oblivion.
“Ndi Ebonyi should not be distracted by drowning individuals whose intent is already truncated by dubious members of their NWC under failed leadership of Julius Abure”, he said.
