DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: AUGUST 10 Topic: ANGELIC VISITATION (2) Scriptures: Gen. 18: 1 – 10, Heb. 13: 2
“Be not be forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unaware”. Angel on visitation can also visit you in human form. Therefore, you have to be spiritually active and mindful of how you relate with people that come to you on a daily basis.
Abraham entertained three men unknown to him that they were angels. And that visitation brought the good news of the birth of Isaac. Some of us with godly character and spiritual sensitivity have entertained angels unknown to us that transformed our lives. While some with nasty character must have driven away their angel of destiny helpers.
Anytime God wants to bless a man, He send His angels to the man. You therefore, need to be sensitive in the spirit to entertain your angel of destiny. Another dimension to angelic visitation is that, angel on visitation can also wage war with those fighting you to trouble them for you to break through in destiny. Any visit arrange by God would change the course of your life. God always have something significant to say to you, His visit may upset your life routine; it may upset your dreams and vision. It may call for a sacrifice and surrender, it may disrupt your relationship and plans. Are you ready?
The scripture in Luke 1:38, “Then Mary said, behold the maid servant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word”. God knew that Mary would obey and surrender to His plans! God is looking for humble and simple people who would listen to His plans and obey Him. After Mary surrendered obediently to the will of God; the Holy Spirit took over her and she said. “my soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my saviour….” Despite the persecution, agony, pain and isolation she would face, she was ready to fulfill the word of God.
Prayer points:
•Father God, visit me and change my story.
• Give me the grace to always surrender to your will.
Confession:
I am ready to obey your word, give me humility of heart to surrender to your will at all times.
