The Anambra State Police Command has launched a manhunt and is seeking urgent assistance from the public following a disturbing case of child stealing in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
According to preliminary information make available to Pan Afric Reporters by the Anambra State Police Command through the state public relations officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the victim, Master Chimaobi Nwadike, a 3-year-old boy, was snatched by an unidentified woman on September 26, 2025, while in the custody of his mother.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, urged residents and the general public to assist security agencies with credible information that could help locate the child and apprehend the suspect.
“The Command is calling on anyone with useful information on the whereabouts of the child or the suspect to kindly report to the nearest Police Station or call the Command’s emergency numbers,” Ikenga appealed.
The Anambra Police Command reassured the public that all efforts are being intensified to track down the suspect and ensure the safe return of the child.
