The event, themed “Empathy in Service,” was observed across all divisions and units of the Command, providing an opportunity for police officers to connect more deeply with the communities they serve.
According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, “the celebration, which is held annually in the first week of October, provides an opportunity for the Command to appreciate the cooperation and support of the people of Anambra State for their partnership in promoting safety and peace across the State.”
As part of the celebration, Divisional Police Officers, Area Commanders, and Heads of Tactical Units engaged in open-door interactions with host communities, carried out security awareness walks, participated in community sanitation exercises, and offered gifts to members of the public. These activities were aimed at deepening trust and collaboration between the police and residents.

He encouraged them to “continue to uphold discipline, courtesy, and accountability in all interactions with the public.”
