The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche, has paid a courtesy visit to the Oche Enone, His Royal Highness, Engr. George Edeh, to reaffirm his loyalty and respect to the traditional institution and to seek royal blessings following his recent court victories affirming his mandate.

Speaking during the visit, the Local Government Boss described his victories at the courts as a testament to the glory of God, noting that the outcome has granted him renewed focus and peace of mind in the discharge of his official duties. He remarked that the visit to the Oche Enone was symbolic—“almost an assumption of duty,” as it coincides with the atmosphere of renewed confidence and stability in the Local Government following the legal affirmation of his election.

Engr. Oche reiterated his unflinching loyalty to the Idoma Traditional Council and the traditional institutions within Ado Local Government Area, describing them as vital partners in governance. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between traditional rulers and government authorities in maintaining peace, fostering development, and ensuring the welfare of the people.

He further called on the Oche Enone to continue his fatherly guidance across the three Local Government Areas that make up the Enone Kingdom (Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo) while pledging his continuous support to the traditional council within the limits of his office and resources.

In his response, the Oche Enone, HRH Engr. George Edeh, congratulated Engr. Sunny Oche on his emergence as Chairman of Ado Local Government. He described the court rulings as a divine confirmation of God’s will, stressing that all authority comes from God. The royal father reaffirmed that Engr. Oche remains the duly elected Chairman of Ado Local Government and urged all well-meaning sons and daughters of the area to rally behind him in unity and support, stating that “it should be obligatory since there is no two ways about it.”

The Oche Enone thereafter offered royal blessings to the Chairman, who knelt before him in humility and reverence as a mark of respect and loyalty.

In the Chairman’s entourage were prominent dignitaries including:

Hon. Agbo Adadu, Leader, Ado Legislative House, Hon. Barr. Francis Ede Ojoko, Majority Leader, Ado Legislative House, Hon. Barr. John Onoja, Former Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Elizabeth Edeh, Commissioner, Benue State Pension Commission, Hon.
