DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: JANUARY 15 YOUR STAR SHINES STILL IN DARKNESS (2) Scripture: Psalms 36: 9; John 1: 4 – 5
In yesterday’s devotional, we are told that our destiny will always be covered with Satanic cloud with a sole mission to stop us from being established as great personality and world influencer. The brighter your destiny is designed, the thicker the darkness your enemies will try to cast upon you. This darkness will come in the form of oppressions, blackmails, frustrations, business failures and rejection by those who should have worked with you to allow you make it in life. There are people who are endowed with excellent gifts, talents and opinions, yet they seem not to be noticed. A sort of the light shining in the dark and the darkness comprehends it not. But as concluded yesterday, a hopeful and determined person must know that his/her destiny will not be hidden for life. An English proverb says that “the darkest hours are just before dawn.” The thickest formation of your enemies standing before you is an indication that your explosion into timeline of history is close.
As Christians, we are to note that our enemies are busy 24 hours planning how to twist our successes. Spiritual understanding should inform us that whatever we lay our hands to do that is proving too difficult contains our great success. Looking into Jesus life on earth shows that His passage to glory was dotted with darkness all through. His conception came through what the world would term “controversy.” He was conceived of the Holy Spirit of God. Who can believe this then? He was born among life stocks in a garden. His earthy foster parents were the poorest of the poor. Many failed to believe or accept Him as a child of God. He was alleged to be a worst criminal and was crucified. His death was the worst dehumanized kind meant for the greatest criminal of His people. Yet He rose from the death into glory. Today, Jesus remains the highest celebrated personnel. He was a light in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend Him initially. Today He is light of the world and the Lord of lords.
My friend, where are you presently? Perhaps you have settled for the falsehood of the devil that nothing good can come out of you again. But your light, which is the destiny God designed you for, is still intact. You are shinning in the darkness. Your light will surely be seen very soon. It will be more fruitful and rewarding if all Christians take Psalm 36: 9 as their personal verse. It says: “For with thee is the fountain of life, in thy light shall we see” (KJV). The beloved, take this verse your prophetical verse. No matter the gridlock of the enemies against your rising to historic establishment, tell your situation “For with me is the fountain of life, in my light, the people of this world will see their ways to success. Keep up your hope actively. You will soon dazzle the world with your great values. This devotional subscribed to what one Tom Head said as quote: “Life is meaningless only if we allow it to be. Each of us has the power to give life meaning to make our time and our bodies and our words into instruments of love and hope.”
PRAYER:
Ask God in prayer to always push you through the fortifications of limitation against your successes in the name of Jesus Christ. Keep repeating this prayer all through the day.
