NASS to Commission Ultra-Modern Newsroom Tuesday

The Directorate of Research and Information of the National Assembly has announced the official commissioning of its newly completed ultra-modern newsroom, marking a significant upgrade in the legislature’s communication infrastructure.

The state-of-the-art facility will be commissioned on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at exactly 12:00 noon.

The event according to a public invitation e-signed by the Secretary, National Assembly Research and Information Directorate, Ali B. Umoru, PhD will be presided over by the Clerk to the National Assembly, who is expected to formally unveil the newsroom as part of ongoing efforts to modernise information management and dissemination within the federal legislature.

The commissioning ceremony will take place at the New Ultra-Modern News Room, Room 1.310, Annex I, Third Floor, National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

The development was described as an important milestone in advancing the institutional communication infrastructure of the National Assembly.

The new newsroom is expected to enhance media operations, improve information flow, and strengthen engagement between the National Assembly and the public.

Stakeholders, media practitioners, and invited guests are anticipated to attend the ceremony as the National Assembly takes another step toward deepening transparency and effective legislative communication.
