NIGERIA POLICE FORCE, NIGERIA POLICE TRUST FUND COMMISSIONS NEW TARABA STATE POLICE COMMAND HEADQUARTERS, MODERN DIVISIONAL HEADQUARTERS IN YORRO LGA
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, represented by the Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command, CP Morkwap Sebastine Dongshal, joined the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF), Alhaji Mohammed Sheidu, and the Taraba State Government in commissioning the newly constructed Taraba State Police Command Headquarters and a Modern Divisional Police Headquarters in Yorro Local Government Area of the State.
Speaking on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, CP Morkwap Sebastine Dongshal conveyed appreciation to the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for their commitment to strengthening the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force. He noted that the projects are in line with the IGP’s people-centred policing vision, particularly the emphasis on improved welfare, modern infrastructure, and a conducive working environment for officers and men of the Force.
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Seidu, reaffirmed NPTF’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force through the provision of modern infrastructure and other critical resources necessary for effective policing. He stated that the newly commissioned facilities underscore the Federal Government’s dedication to strengthening internal security and enhancing the capacity of the Police to effectively discharge its constitutional responsibilities. He further assured that the Trust Fund would continue to partner with the Nigeria Police Force in advancing initiatives aimed at improving police welfare, operational efficiency, and service delivery across the country.
The Executive Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (Rtd), represented by CP Cyril Agbe (Rtd) at the event, commended the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for the laudable intervention, describing the projects as critical investments in the security and development of the State.
The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to leveraging strategic partnerships to improve its operational effectiveness, enhance personnel welfare, and ensure the provision of quality policing services to all Nigerians.
