The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has stepped up health and safety preparations for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna, deploying medical personnel and preventive health measures to manage emergencies and minimise the risk of a disease outbreak at the rally.

The Deputy Director of Health and Safety of the PCC, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Mukhter, disclosed this to journalists after inspecting medical facilities at the rally venue, assuring that the directorate was fully prepared to respond to health emergencies during the event.

Mukhter said medical personnel had been positioned to attend to participants who might require urgent medical attention, while measures had also been put in place to prevent stampedes amid expectations of a large turnout.

“We are fully ready for the flag-off to take care of stampede. Our staff are fully on ground to take care of health issues that will arise tomorrow,” she said.

She added that supporters from Kano State were expected to join other APC faithful at the rally in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party begins its campaign mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“Our people are coming from Kano State to support Mr. President,” she stated.

On disease prevention, the PCC official disclosed that the directorate had provided sensitisation materials and face masks to promote public health awareness and reduce the risk of infections among participants.

The health and safety arrangements form part of the preparations for the Kaduna campaign flag-off, where the APC is expecting a large gathering of party leaders, supporters and political stakeholders. The PCC’s medical readiness is aimed at ensuring that participants can access prompt medical attention and that potential health and safety risks are addressed during the rally.
