
2023: Nigerians are interested in those that can run a clean government, Adewole tells Tinubu
Presidential aspirant under the caolition party, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has striken a strong blow at former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, over his ‘dirty fight’ remarks.
Tinibu who make the remark during his consultation with the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi and the Olubadan-designate, Oba Lekan Balogun, on Sunday, said he is ready to get dirty to become president in 2023.
“No amount of intimidation can stop me. I am ready to get dirty. I am out to become President of Nigeria. We are at a crossroads.”
Adebayo, the presidential hopeful in a series of tweets on Monday, said Nigerians are not after politicians who can fight dirty, but those that can run a clean government.
The legal practitioner added that only the new generation with intellectual and technocratic competence can tackle insecurity, corruption, poverty, economic and moral decline.
“Tinubu understand that Nigerians are not after who can fight dirty, but who can run a clean government. Too many dirty deals resulting in dirty fights washing off dirty linens are in the public already,” he wrote.
“We need to tackle insecurity, corruption, poverty, economic and moral decline. This is the job of a new generation with intellectual and technocratic competence, and not an agbero mentality. #HopeAgain2023”.
