PRESS STATEMENT: ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS’ (APC) GOODWILL MESSAGE TO MUSLIM UMMAH AS RAMADAN BEGINS
As the Holy month of Ramadan which marks the commencement of 30 or 29 days of fasting begins, the All Progressives Congress (APC) enjoins Muslim Ummah to use the season for deep reflection and spiritual rejuvenation towards greater devotion to Allah, and service to the nation.
Ramadan is one of the most blessed, if not the holiest month of the Islamic calendar. The APC hereby calls on Muslim Ummah to pray for Nigeria’s accelerated and shared prosperity, development and security, as they pray for wisdom for leaders and decision-makers at all levels of our social, political and economic life. We invite all faithfuls to remember and take care of the less-privileged among us.
With the successful conclusion of the 2023 General Elections, and as the country gears up for transition from the President Muhammadu Buhari government to the incoming administration of President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we urge all well-meaning Nigerians to remain peaceful and patriotic with renewed hope for a more just, secure, peaceful, equitable and prosperous Nigeria.
We pray the Almighty Allah answers our prayers and enkindles in us the spirit of sacrifice, humility, mercy and kindness.
