Abbas led over 200 APC,PDP ,NNPP LP, members elect in solidarity support to APC secretariate

The 10th Speakership hopeful of the national assembly ,Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, led over 200 returning and members elect from different political parties as delegation to the National Working Committee (NWC) of his  Party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the party’s headquarters,Abuja.

The delegation devoid of party affiliations compresses all the parties that won election into the 10th House in solidarity for  Abbas endorsement by the part and his aspiration to become the next speaker of the house of Representatives.

The visit was to inform the national working committee of members-elect support and loyalty to Abbas and the party for endorsing him as a consensus candidate for the  10th House Speaker.

Members who spoke with our correspondent randomly at the venue said among all the contestants, Abbas remain their choice and the most qualified for the job.

The delegation comprises of retuning members of the joint task force and the unity forum of new members elect for Abbas 2023.

The joint task force was led by Hon. Usman Bello Komo and Hon Eze Nwachwuku Eze of the unity forum, came with over 200 names and signatures of registered members of the two group.

Hon. Abbas while addressing the party NWC said “we are here to present a register of members that are solidly behind me for the 10th Assembly speaker”.

Says he desire to carry every body along and ensure peace which can never be ruled out in nation building is established.

The meeting which  expresses  the overwhelming acceptance of the  party zoning and the support already enjoyed by the  endorsement of Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas PhD among  members across board from different political parties, stakeholders, party faithfuls and supporter in the build up to the Speakership race of the 10th Assembly.

The outing  also counter the insinuations and falsehoods being peddled at some quarters by  that zoning and endorsement of Abbas is not accepted non having the  support of 10th House members-elect. The  meetings also afford the two groups the opportunity to intimate the leadership of  party their position and appeal for the continuous support for Abbas.

The APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, in his response assures the party of  the party commitment to zoning and support for  Abbas, noting  that the party will continue to consult.
