DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: MAY 25 TRUSTING IN GOD SCRIPTURES: Colossians 3: 15, 1 John: 5: 4; 1 Peter 2: 6 – 8.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines trust as; assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something. One in which confidence is placed. Many times God is walking behind the scenes to accomplish His work in us and for us. We must continually trust in God even when we don’t see His hands at work. God answers prayers with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’, and the sometimes with a ‘not yet’; so He can get others in line or get you right for what you are asking. Therefore, your ability to remain confident with total reliance on the ability of God to sustain you in times of adversity is key.
God has no equal; He has ability to do whatever He likes, both in heaven and on earth. He cannot fail us even in the face of the fiercest battle of life (Psalm 9:10). If we trust Him in time of troubles, He has ability to make His kingdom form a wall of fire round about us for defense. How many Christians these days will agree to wait upon God during afflictions, trials and test of life? How many of us Christians will do what David did by knowing that sometimes God’s test come in like fire and that at the end they will be refined like gold? Trusting God entails following the pattern and method of God in whatever He does is like putting aside your wisdom and depend totally on the will of God to prevail in your life. It is also the assurance that so long as we live for Christ, it is His responsibility to supply us our daily bread.
PRAYER POINT:
Oh Lord my God, no matter what I’m passing through, I need the grace to rely on you completely.
CONFESSION:
It doesn’t matter the troubles that may come my way, i am confident because; greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Praise the Lord!!!!
