DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: JULY 27 SEEING GOD BEHIND YOUR PROBLEMS (2) SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 8: 28; Psalms 34: 18; 147: 3

Spread the love

Yesterday’s devotional revealed how the cutting off of a Prince’s two fingers saved him from being eaten by man-eaters as well as sending his friend whose gun’s accidental discharge cut off the fingers into prison saved him from being eaten by man-eaters; if he was free to follow the Prince into the forest. The two friends later saw that the accident was God’s wish for them and has good plan for them in future. The story was used to give clear understanding how God is found behind some events happening to human beings. No human escapes occasional hardships, misfortunes, accidents and other unwanted circumstances. Jesus would tell His hearers that we will have many trials and sorrows on this earth (John 16: 33). But, what about Christians? They are to always try seeing God behind Their Problems as things unfold upon them. God teaches us several things through problems. He makes us know His infinite powers through helping us from problems.

This devotional wants all readers to know that, regardless of what we are walking through in life, we have to know that God works out His supernatural power in our lives when we are passing through problems. Problems come to break our hearts, minds, visions and hope. Any of us reading this devotional today is urged to know that God is usually very close to the broken hearted. The Bible says: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those who’s spirits are crushed” (Psa. 34: 18). Another scripture says: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psa. 147: 3). We can see the brokenhearted everywhere, especially the suburbs of our societies these days. The world will never be freed from situations that render people brokenhearted with their spirits crushed. But God has His purposes behind it all.

Against every discomfort circumstance, we find ourselves, it demands on us to know that God is behind us. He probably will show us hidden things in our sufferings or provides experience for us in our troubles. We must learn how to take our cases to God instead of seeing the problems as devils’ handiworks. The more we experience funny situations of life, the more God equips us with wonderful ideas that will end up turning us into celebrities. We are not to faint in our trials and adversities. This makes our faith small. The Bible says “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small” (Prov. 24: 10 KJV). This devotional urges Christians world-wide to see whatever is happening today as God’s plan to show them His purposes for all of the happenings. There are divine reasons behind it all.

PRAYER:

BLESSED FATHER, have mercy on us and comfort us in our pains and sorrows as they seem too heavy to bear. Bestow safety and deliverance upon us in the name of Jesus.

POSITIVE DECLARATION:

I will never give up on myself until God shows forth in my cases. Hallelujah!
