DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONALS: OCTOBER 1 LIFE OUT OF THE DEAD (1) SCRIPTURE: 1 CORITHIANS 15: 35 – 37

Spread the love

There is this mystery of every living being that human beings think little about. By natural phenomenon, all things that are alive generate from a dead substance first. It should be a thing of importance to observe how living things first comes into existence. How water came into be, how trees came into existence, how rain is formed and fall upon the earth and how human beings are formed in women’s wombs are all surrounded with the mystery of dying first before forming a new life. The mysteries of living as it concerns dying before being alive molecule, will be drawn from Apostle Paul’s comparisons while illustrating Jesus’ resurrection with plant planting. Apostle Paul said the plant that germinates into plant was not sown as the physical plant but a small seed first. This seed first dies in the ground and then germinates, and grows into the plant the seed contains.Apostle Paul talked on this processes as seen in 1 Cor. 15: 35 – 50.

The seed of groundnut for instance is sown, died or swollen up to a dying level, changed to budding and germinates to grow up into groundnut leaves which seeds. The processes involved here is that the real seed breaks down, regenerates into groundnut plants. In similar processes, tailors cut a whole cloth into pieces to reassemble them into good wears. Carpenters do same to woods and planks for them to rebuild them into cabinet beds and chairs. Potters break down the clay into grounded grains, threaded into paste and clay before remolding it into different house vessels. Human beings through reproduction processes break into different shapes in the womb before been rebuilt at age of delivering to be born a solid child. It is said that at eightieth month a baby is broken and loosed completely in the womb.

Till date, natures are passing through breaking and rebuilding processes. God is still in the business of allowing us His children to be broken, tear down and at times grounded into insignificance to die to self; before rebuilding us again to who He wants us be. The breaking and rebuilding process can again be illustrated by renovating a house. The house owners in order to give their houses a new look will break down some parts of the houses, give them a new design and rebuild them again into very good looking structures. We will be using the illustration of seed planting and house renovation to see how God allows die to remold us in life in the two series following today’s devotional.

PRAYER:

FATHER JEHOVAH, as I go into studying the process of breaking and rebuilding in this series of the devotional, open up my understanding so as to be fully rebuilt in Jesus name.
