Alhaji Ndakene’s Death, A Personal Loss – Senator Sadiq

The Senator representing Kwara North, Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has expressed profound grief over the passing of Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene, the Marafa of Tsonga Emirate of Edu Local Government Area, Kwara State.
He expresses profoundly his grief in a condolence message he personally signed, describes the death of Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene as a personal loss, noting the deep bond they shared over the years.
He described the late Marafa not only as a traditional titleholder but also as an elder statesman, a political leader, and a community leader, who Senator Sadiq considered a father figure.
“The passing of Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene is not only a loss to the Tsonga Emirate and Kwara State but also a deeply personal loss to me. He was a man of immense integrity, wisdom, and kindness, who devoted his life to the service of his people during his lifetime. His leadership, both politically and within the community, left a lasting impact on those around him. To me, he was more than a political figure; he was like a father,” Senator Sadiq said.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Alhaji Ndakene, the Tsonga Emirate, and the people of the state. May Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus and give his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Senator Sadiq added.
The Senator also extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Tsonga, His Royal Highness, Dr Haliru Ndanusa, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene, Barrister Yahaya Ndakene, and other members of the Ndakene family. He prayed for divine comfort and strength for them during this difficult period.
