RIVERS STATE TRADITIONAL RULERS PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON GOV FUBARA

The Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, led by its chairman, His Majesty, King Chike Anderson A. Worlu Wodo, paid a solidarity visit to Governor Siminalayi Fubara at the Government House on Friday, 18th October 2024.

During the visit, the council expressed its unwavering support for the Governor and passed a resounding vote of confidence in his administration.

King Wodo, speaking on behalf of the council, praised Governor Fubara for his handling of the state’s political challenges, especially before and after the October 5th LGA elections. He commended the Governor’s investment in infrastructure and security, which has fostered peace in Rivers State.

In response, Governor Fubara thanked the traditional rulers for their support, acknowledging the significant role they play as custodians of the communities. He emphasized the importance of their backing, noting that their presence solidifies the people’s support for his administration.

The Governor also used the opportunity to direct the immediate commencement of arrangements for the procurement of official vehicles for the traditional rulers.

This strong show of unity between the traditional institution and the government is a clear message of peace and stability in Rivers State.
