Ado Local Government Chairman Initiates Recovery of Essential Assets
The Chairman of Ado Local Government, Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche, is actively pursuing the recovery of vital local government assets, including a crucial tractor, currently in the possession of an individual who failed to fulfill a contractual obligation. This initiative is a key component of the council’s commitment to enhancing agricultural development and supporting local businesses.
Engr. Oche’s administration according to a press release e-signed by his Principal Private Secretary (PPS), Innocent Igelle cLMiH, mPPSN takes a swift action to reclaim the tractor, which was leased to Ternenge Francis Awua, an indigene of Guma Local Government Council. Mr. Awua, who had previously been on the police wanted list, was apprehended in Makurdi in November after failing to respond to repeated requests to return the tractor.
“Our focus is on retrieving the tractor and ensuring it is restored to its operational condition,” stated Hon. Engr. Sunny Oche. “This tractor, critical to local agricultural development, will be fully rehabilitated and made available to enhance farming techniques in Ado Local Government.”
The investigation revealed concerning details about Mr. Awua’s potential financial obligations associated with the tractor. Reports suggest the tractor’s tires have been deflated, possibly due to Mr. Awua’s failure to fulfill associated loan repayment obligations. The local government is committed to recovering the tractor for the benefit of its community, without pursuing legal action at this time.
