DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONALS: DECEMBER 8 GOD HAS REGARD FOR YOU (2) SCRITPURE: PSALM 144: 4

Spread the love

It is said yesterday that one’s personal negative perception about self cannot change God’s good plan for anyone. Thinking that God does not have regard for you or does not think about you is a reflection of mere mortal behaviour._ King David wondered on this, not with negative perception of self but with a dynamic knowledge that no matter how one thinks down on self, God still see such a person as person of honour. King David knew that “…man is like a breath of air; their days are like a passing shadow” (Psa. 144: 4 NLT). King David still knew from his personal experience that God can come down to deal with enemies of His children. He would thus ask God to flash forth the lightening (could be thunder) and scatter them. This phrase points at King David’s enemies.

Perhaps, you are thinking God has removed His thoughts from you and have allowed your love for God to go down; know today that God still has regard for you. God spoke through Prophet Isaiah that your thoughts are not His thoughts, that as the heaven is far from the earth so is His thoughts far from human thinking. This devotional comes to tell readers, especially those feeling God has removed them from His books of divine favours, blessings and fame that He still has regards on them. Whatever you may take yourself to be, truth is that God created you fearfully and wonderfully (Psa. 139: 14). *God created you for signs and wonders (Isa. 8: 18). There should be no reason for you to think God has no knowledge of you. Never yield to satanic urge to rebel against God.

King David had several enemies, oppressors, sycophants and betrayers even amongst his close aligns. He severally slept in caves and mountain tops to evade being killed. His biological son, Absalom toppled his government and raped his other wives in public. Yet King David maintained positive view of himself that made him to praise God, composed beautiful hymns, lyrics and music honouring God. He admired himself and said he will praise God because he was fearfully and wonderfully made, that his soul knows it right._ Can you, reading this devotional, borrow leaf from King David and compose songs of praises and worship in God’s honour in this month of December? You will marvel of God’s blessing for you if you do by coming January.

PRAYER:

Pray and tell the Holy Spirit of God to take away every negative thought, darkening your positive mind against God believing He has forgotten and forsaken you in this world. Ask the Holy Spirit to make your mind a music pen-writer to enable compose new songs of praise to God in this month of December in Jesus name.
