Group To Ned Nwoko: Give Us Concrete Account Of Your Stewardship
A concerned group, Delta North Grassroot Movement (DNGM) through her spokesperson, Senior Comrade Nwamadu Ifedi has called on Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North in the National Assembly, to provide a detailed account of his performance since assuming office. The group, which emphasized the need for practical and visible results, accused the senator of prioritizing social media appearances and family showcases over delivering meaningful development to his constituents.
The group criticized Senator Nwoko for allegedly failing to emulate his colleagues who are making tangible progress in their constituencies. They argued that while other senators are implementing impactful projects and addressing the needs of their people, Senator Nwoko appears more focused on engaging in social media activities and media appearances.
“Delta North deserves more than just words and appearances on social media, radio, and television. Senator Ned Nwoko must present concrete evidence—pictures, videos, and detailed descriptions—of what he has achieved with the constituency allocations he has received so far,” the group said.
In addition to demanding accountability for the funds allocated to Delta North, the group urged Senator Nwoko to follow the example of other senators who have prioritized their constituencies. They advised him to focus on impactful governance rather than engaging in personal feuds with those who allegedly supported him during his electioneering campaign.
“Instead of fighting people who helped him secure the party ticket and win the general election, Senator Nwoko should honor his promises and deliver on his mandate. Delta North did not elect him to settle personal scores or showcase his family. We want development, not distractions,” the group warned.
The group spokesperson Nwamadu Ifedi expressed disappointment, stating that as a prominent figure with a notable name, they expected Senator Nwoko to initiate significant projects in Delta North. However, they claim that smaller politicians with fewer resources are delivering more substantial results in their respective constituencies.
“Ned Nwoko claims to be a big name, but the big things we anticipated are missing. Instead, we see him visiting people and talking. The so-called small names are the ones achieving big things. We need Senator Nwoko to act and stop the distractions,” the group said.
The group urged Senator Nwoko to redirect his efforts toward the development of Delta North. They insisted that he must rise above personal interests, deliver measurable results, and prove that he is a capable and dedicated representative.
“All we are saying is that Senator Nwoko must stop the drama and focus on governance. He must fulfill his promises and demonstrate that he is not just a ‘social media senator’ but a true leader committed to the progress of Delta North,” the group stated.
Engaging with media houses as a means to gain cheap popularity is a disservice to the people of Delta North. It is disheartening to see such acts of self-promotion when critical issues of underdevelopment persist in our region. True leadership is reflected in actions that bring progress and uplift the community, not in creating distractions to garner public sympathy. We are keenly aware of his alleged plans to defect to the APC, but frankly, this is of little concern to us. What truly matters is the urgent need for development in Delta North, which has been overlooked under his watch. Instead of addressing the pressing needs of the people, he has chosen to engage in political conflicts that do nothing to benefit the region.
The ongoing feud with prominent leaders in Delta North further highlights the divisive politics he has embraced. Let him not forget that his previous attempts at running for the Senate ended in failure, even without the opposition of these leaders. Rather than attacking those who have contributed to the growth of our region, he should focus on building bridges and delivering tangible results. Reports of attempts to release criminals from prison ahead of the 2027 elections are deeply troubling. These individuals, known for their involvement in heinous crimes, are now allegedly being weaponized to intimidate and bully others on social media. Such actions only deepen the disappointment of Delta Northerners, who are now questioning his motives and integrity.
Surly, it is high time you refrained from actions that tarnish the reputation of Anioma people, who have long been known for their dignity and integrity. The Governor of Delta State has made his stance on issues with you abundantly clear, and there is no need to continue engaging in behavior that distracts from our collective progress. Rather than stoking unnecessary controversy, your focus should be on utilizing the constituency allocations meant for Delta North to drive meaningful development in our communities. Our people deserve better—transformative leadership that prioritizes infrastructure, education, and youth empowerment over divisive politics. Anioma’s pride must remain intact, and we urge you to rise above this negativity and focus on the development you pledged to deliver.
The pertinent question remains: what has he done for the good of the people of Delta North? Instead of resorting to smear campaigns and empowering social media bullies to insult respected leaders, he should concentrate on policies and initiatives that improve lives. The people of Delta North demand accountability and visible efforts toward development, not political theatrics. It is time to set aside these antics and focus on building a region that reflects the aspirations and potentials of its people.
The group called on the senator to organize public town halls where he can engage directly with constituents, showcase his achievements with evidence, and outline his plans for the future. They warned that continued inaction could lead to further dissatisfaction and loss of trust among the people of Delta North.
