Benue State Governor,Hyacinth Alia of has made a bold revelation, accusing certain traditional rulers of conspiring with external forces to jeopardize insecurity in the state.

The Gov. in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, asserted that these troublemakers have a sinister motive “for their collaborators to cash in on the situation for cheap blackmail.”

Responding to his predecessor, Samuel Ortom, who accused him of politicizing security issues, Alia fired back, emphasizing that he is “committed to finding solutions rather than just talking about the problems.”

Part of the statement read:
“It does not surprise us that this diatribe is coming from those who instigated the very security challenges that Governor Alia is now doing everything possible to eliminate.

“Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia is committed to finding solutions rather than just discussing the problems.

“We are fully aware that some traditional rulers are colluding with external forces to sustain insecurity in the state, allowing their collaborators to exploit the situation for cheap blackmail.

“Governor Alia’s actions so far demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving security and fostering a peaceful environment in Benue State.

“He deserves support rather than unfounded accusations or the politicisation of the situation. And the last person who should be criticising the governor in this regard is Mr. Samuel Ortom.”

With these statements, Governor Alia not only defends his administration’s efforts but also throws a sharp jab at his predecessor, making it clear that he refuses to engage in mere rhetoric while working to secure Benue State.
