DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: FEBRUARY 22 Topic: DIVINE HELP. Scriptures: Gen. 40:9- 14, Psalm 121: 1-8
We are in a time that we all need help from the Almighty God Himself because our own efforts cannot produce results. This world is a battle field, without divine help, you will suffer defeat, humiliation and shame. Without divine help, people that supposed to remember you will forget you; men will abandon you.
Joseph asked the cup-bearer to remember him when he Would be restored to his position. But the man forgot Joseph for two years. In God’s time, he realized his faults, (Gen 41:9); “today I have been reminded of my failure”. Like Joseph, we may sometimes suffer wrongly, those on whom we rely for favour may fail us as the cup- bearer failed Joseph. But as we persist in faith and rely on God, we shall receive divine help. Joseph was written off as the favoured son of the father, then as a dreamer, then as an alleged rapist, and finally as a prisoner. Who would expect such a person to succeed in life? But Joseph defied all odds by remaining faithful to God, and he became the second most important person in Egypt. We can move from obscurity to significance if we obey God’s word, live a holy and clean life, and endure suffering with patience.
Joseph expected help from a man, but that man forgot him for a while. He requested for two things as a favour to be done to him by the cup-bearer; (1) think of me, my brother and show me kindness. (2) mention my name to Pharaoh. Yet he forgot. What made him to remember later on was the help and the intervention of God!
As you travel on life journey, always remember that your help comes from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth. Our God created the mountains, He created the sun, moon and everything. He has all the power, and He is not far away from us. He never takes time off, hence, we do not need to fear any other power.

God’s help gives strength in every area of life. God shall help you in a marvelous way to the amazement of all that know you soon in Jesus Name. As God’s help locates you today, I see the strength of God enveloping you financially, spiritually and physically. God will open doors of helpers, and will provoke other people to help you. In your working place, you will be helped. In your family, you will be helped. In your educational pursuit, you will be helped. As from today, your name will attract helpers! Your word will invite favor! Your spirit will make everyone run around you to help you, all these I declare in Jesus Name.
Prayer points:
(1) By the reason of divine help of God, anybody that supposed to recommend me for my next level will not forget in the name of Jesus.
(2) In this battle field of life, oh God, help me not to suffer shame, defeat and humiliation in Jesus Name.
Confession:
In the name of Jesus, divine help will locate me, people will show me kindness anywhere I go.
