DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: MARCH 16 WHOSE MARK ARE YOU CARRYING? (1) Scripture: Ezek. 9: 4 – 6; Gen. 4: 13 – 14

Spread the love

I was on my way from Abuja, March 6, 2021 when a female voice entered my set. It was a story of how her husband was attacked in dream with a beast using its claws to place some marks on the husband. Since then, nothing good came on the ways of the husband. I discerned the husband was given a Satanic mark of rejection and bad luck. This gives birth to this devotional. This first series dwells on the evil marks we carry about. Though, not my intention to dive into deliverance topics; I thought it necessary to touch this very mysterious attack of the evil ones. The series will, however, end with the marks of Christ and Christians.

Mark being talk about here is spiritual signs or symbols given to people for an affliction. It is an insignia. It is something placed on someone to distinguish him or her from others. It can be a label also that can be used to identify that person.* In a real sense, this mark is more in spiritual realm than physical till it began to manifest. The mark is interpretable by all evil agents. When given the mark, the enemies who read and interpret the signs go into afflicting the carrier of the mark. _If the mark symbolizes hatred, the person is hated everywhere. If it is slavery, the carrier will be laboring for people without good pay. If it is mark of sorrow, the carrier will keep experiencing sorrow all the day.The lists are numerous to be printed in a devotional like this. *In Ezekiel 9: 4 – 6, we can see how God instructed the Prophet to put marks on some people’s foreheads. These marks would protect them from been slaughtered by those coming to kill people in the city. So as there could be mark of destruction from the evil world, there will be marks of salvation given to God’s people.

It will interest one to know that God gave Cain a mark that included roaming about for nothing, tilling the land without good harvest as well as whoever sees him should kill him. Cain would latter contested with the “whoever sees him should kill him” in Gen. 4: 14. Some of these marks are inherited also from parents for their generations. Manifestations of these marks can be noted in dreams, especially when one sees self, working endlessly in dream, roaming aimlessly in dreams and being sacked from work in dream. The evil mark of divorce forms the reason why some people don’t keep marriages. Even though the mark is satanically given, and a spiritual matter, it is usually originated by wicked people. The most unfortunate thing here is, many people go about unaware of the mark they are carrying. Question here is, whose mark are you carrying, you reading this devotional?

Today’s devotional intends that we all think about things which have been happening to us negatively and identify if they connect to evil marks. Investigations can be made from our father, mother, uncle or aunt. Personal deliverance exercise avails much here. Ask God and the Holy Spirit to open your spiritual eyes to see “whose mark you are carrying. Pray to God on your findings and remove the marks using the blood of Jesus.

I see this month as your month of final freedom from spiritual lockdown. You are gaining freedom from all satanic marks in Jesus. *Cain had his mark reversed by telling God that his punishment will be too much if whoever would see him should kill him is subsisted. God changed it (Gen. 4: 14). God changed his punishment. God will change your today if you contend it with prayers and declarations!!

PRAYERS:

1. Pray telling God to open your spiritual eyes to see what mark of evil has been responsible for your problems in Jesus name.

2. Prayerfully invite the Holy Spirit into assisting you to know who has put a mark of destruction upon your life in Jesus’ name.

3. Plead to God to remove the mark of evil which has been giving punishments too much to bear in Jesus name.

POSITIVE CONFESSION:

I see myself freed from influence of kindred evil marks by the blood of Jesus as from today.
