SENATOR PLANG CONDEMNS ATTACK ON RUWI COMMUNITY

The Senator representing Plateau Central  senatorial district of Plateau State and  Chairman, Senate Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity,  Senator Diket Plang has condemned the attack on the peace-loving people of Ruwi village of Bokkos local government area of Plateau State on Thursday.

The Senator in a press statement e-sign by on Saturday by his media team described the dastardly act as a worrisome, intolerable and calculated attempt by the enemies of peace to frustrate the efforts of both the government and security agencies to ensure lasting peace in the council area.

“The attack was another callous attempt by the enemies of peace to frustrate various peace initiatives embarked upon by the government and security agencies. So all hands must be on deck to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime to justice.

“The security agencies are not in doubt trying their best to secure lives and properties in the senatorial district, but they need to be more proactive now than before, more so now that the farming season is here.”

He charged the security agencies to spare no effort in bringing to justice the culprits, stressing that the barbaric act was devastating considering the fact that the people were attacked at a wake keep to mourn one of their loved ones.

While commiserating with the families of those killed, Senator Plang implored the people of the locality and the entire Plateau Central Senatorial District to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement or threat to life to the security agencies.
