Enugu Labour Party Ex-Governorship Candidate Chijioke Leaves Labour To PDP
Chief Chijioke Edeoga, the former Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, has officially returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Edeoga during his official defection to PDP at its Secretariat, pledged his “total and unalloyed support” to Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.
Edeoga commended Governor Mbah’s “visionary, focused and transformative leadership,” which he said inspired his decision to return to the PDP.
“It’s time to unite as a family and form a formidable front ahead of the 2027 elections,” he added.
Enugu State PDP Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunwike, welcomed Edeoga back to the party, saying his return is a testament to Governor Mbah’s “audacious leadership.”
He assured that more aggrieved members who left the party would soon rejoin.
Mr Obiora Obegu, Chairman of Isi-uzo Local Government Area, described Edeoga’s return as “a step in the right direction.” He said the party would now move stronger, “devoid of distractions and rancour.”
