Ado Council Boss Mourns,Pays a Heartfelt Tribute to a Devoted Party Man and Servant Leader, Hon. Ochai

The entire Benue political landscape is in mourning following the sudden and heartbreaking death of Hon. Samuel Ochai Ameh, a respected party stalwart and servant leader, whose passing on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of many.
Engr. Sunny Oche, Chairman of Ado Local Government Area in a Heartfelt Tribute he personally signed described the death of the late Hon. Ameh as a profound personal and communal loss. “Just the Sunday before, I was with him, sharing laughter, wisdom, and his ever-hopeful spirit. To hear of his passing two days later was a shock I still struggle to comprehend,” Oche said.
Hon. Ameh was more than a public official, he was a man deeply rooted in loyalty and service. As a two-time Supervisory Councilor and a devoted member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he was instrumental during the first tenure of former Governor Samuel Ortom, building a reputation defined by integrity, forthright leadership, and unwavering dedication to the people.
“He was a pillar of strength in the APC family, particularly in Zone C. His service extended beyond official titles—he was admired for his compassion, respected for his wisdom, and loved for his humility,” Oche added.
The late Hon. Ameh’s commitment to grassroots development and the wellbeing of his constituents earned him admiration across political divides. His home community of Orokam in Ogbadibo Local Government, along with the entire state, is preparing to bid farewell to one of its finest sons.His funeral will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Orokam.
As tributes pour in, the legacy of Hon. Samuel Ochai Ameh remains etched in the minds of those he served and inspired.
“May the Almighty grant him eternal rest,” Oche concluded. “And may his legacy of selfless service guide us forward.”
