SUSTAINING SAFTEY IN ANAMBRA: POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECTED CULTIST, DRUG PEDDLER AND RECOVER FIREARMS

The Anambra State Police Command in its sustained fight against cultism, drug peddling and unlawful possession of firearms through the Police Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cult Squad (SPACS) Enugwu Ukwu in the late hours of 28th August 2025 arrested one Ebuka Ubadigbo ‘M’, 35 years old at Nkpor-Umuoji Road, close to a building site in Idemili North LGA.

 

The Operatives according to a press release e-signed by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer,SP Tochukwu Ikenga also recovered 2 (two) pump-action guns with two live cartridges and large quantities of substances suspected to be hard drugs.

 

Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspect confessed to involvement in drug peddling and Investigations are ongoing to identify his accomplices and trace the source of the recovered firearms.

The suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
