Anambra Police Opens Dialogue on Officers’ Rights, Hails Checkpoint Personnel for Sacrifices and Dedication

The Anambra State Police Command has commenced discussions focused on the rights and welfare of police officers in the state, underscoring the need for continuous respect, support, and recognition of their vital contributions to public safety.

In a statement e-signed by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command noted that the initiative aims to promote better understanding of officers’ rights and well-being, while reinforcing the principles of professionalism and accountability within the Force.

According to the statement, “the Command acknowledges that officers deployed at various checkpoints and duty posts across the State have continued to exhibit resilience, professionalism, and dedication to service, despite the challenges that come with their assignments.”

SP Ikenga further commended personnel for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, describing their sacrifices as the backbone of the State’s stable security environment. “Their selfless commitment has greatly contributed to maintaining public safety and strengthening confidence in the State’s security architecture,” the statement added.

The Command also reassured residents of its sustained efforts to enhance safety and protect the rights of both officers and citizens. “The Command further reiterates its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of lives and property in Anambra State,” SP Ikenga affirmed.

The statement concluded with an appeal for public cooperation and continued support to the police, emphasizing that effective security requires partnership and mutual respect between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.
