NASENI Governing Board Applauds Agency’s Homegrown Technological Breakthroughs Under Halilu , Reaffirms Support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has received high commendation from its Governing Board for its remarkable strides in developing homegrown innovations aimed at transforming key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
During an inspection visit to the agency’s facilities, the Governing Board members were hosted by the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of NASENI, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, who led them through various groundbreaking projects across agriculture, renewable energy, health, and manufacturing.
According to the statement, “In just two years, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has developed and deployed a range of homegrown solutions across agriculture, renewable energy, health, and manufacturing sectors.”
The inspection visit provided the board an opportunity to see firsthand how NASENI’s technology-driven innovations are helping boost local productivity and reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported goods. “The board members were taken through various projects showcasing NASENI’s advancements in technology-driven solutions aimed at boosting local productivity and reducing dependence on imports,” the agency noted.
Mr. Halilu expressed appreciation for the board’s visit and their consistent encouragement, which he said “reaffirms the agency’s shared commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in building a self-reliant, technology-driven economy.”
He further emphasized NASENI’s unwavering focus on local innovation and national development, stating that the agency remains “dedicated to delivering solutions made by Nigerians, for Nigerians.”
The visit, according to observers, underscores NASENI’s pivotal role in advancing indigenous research, engineering, and industrial solutions to position Nigeria as a hub for innovation and self-sufficiency in science and technology.
