Southeast youths under the platform of Southeast Peaceful Youths Integration For Tinubu (SEPYIFT), has commended President Bola Tinubu, for undertaking the tasks that were difficult to undertake by previous sussesive administrations-the petroleum subsidy removal and the construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

Speaking on behalf of the youths in Abakaliki on Wednesday, Leader of the youths organisation, Pastor Demian Onu, said President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term in office because of his numerous achievements.

He explained that the Southeast Southeast Peaceful Youths Integration For Tinubu (SEPYIFT), as an assemblage of peaceful youths in the southeast believe that nothing can be achieved in an atmosphere deviod of peace and therefore called on the youths of the region to embrace peace.

According to Onu, “Actually, by the name I just mentioned, this is an integration of all the peaceful youth in the southeastern part of Nigeria. And we’ve integrated ourselves, we’ve come together to ensure that we support the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFRN, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and also ensure his re-election back as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2027 is an easy way”, he stated.

He commended the President to have taken a bold step which former Presidents of the country could not take, especially the petroleum subsidy removal and the construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, “Because when we consider what Mr. President has done, the giant strides, the bold step he has taken, a lot of things that were difficult for his predecessors to do, like the issue of fuel subsidy removal, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, these were tasks that people knew that were supposed to be done, but he had to do it.

Onu added, “There was nothing, but look at him, he’s taking this bold step, not minding how it’s going to be, because he knows in the other side of it, Nigerians will have cause to rejoice and smile. So, we wouldn’t want to have a discord between the southeast and the federal government. And, you know, some people like to use the youth to cause problems.

“Now we are coming together to let the youth know that where there is peace, there is development, there is progress. So, that’s why we call that name Southeast Peaceful Youth Integration for Tinubu. Integration- even if you were not part of the people that worked for Tinubu in 2023 election, even up to now, once you come in, we’ll integrate you.

“Then we’ll see how to move this party, this southeast geopolitical zone forward. You know, if you appreciate good job done, he will do more. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has been so gracious to the Igbo nation, to the southeast.

“I can’t remember when an Igbo man was appointed federal minister of works. Look at, he has given our best, that position, and he has given him a free hand to do his work because he has confidence in him. So, I also want to say a very big thank you to Mr. President”, he commended.
