DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: JANUARY 5 WHY SATAN CAN’T STOP YOU (1) SCRIPTURE: Genesis 3: 1 – 7, 22 – 24
Amongst Christians and other religious people, a being has been so much received blames and accusations for everything evil and bad. He has been blamed for death of the loved one, disasters that had fallen on mankind, misfortune on families, limitations in businesses and executions of projects etc.: He is known by several names in several dialects. He is generally known by Christians and other religious people as Satan. Satan and his loyalists have been alleged for being responsible for untimely deaths, blocking people’s successes, causing people’s failure in schools and businesses as well as aborting peoples’ plans for future progresses. For whatsoever negative that happens, Satan is believed to be responsible, especially in the continent of Africa.
Christians and non-Christians have settled with the belief that anything that stops their progress, businesses, academics, child bearings, marriages, appointments etc., is Satan’s handworks. These believe have eaten too deep into the heads, minds and hearts of some African people. It has actually become impossible to dissuade an average African that Satan has no such absolute authority to stop human beings totally from what is planned to be done. Many Christian would refer anyone who says that Satan cannot stop mankind completely from actualizing his/her desires to where the Bible says that Satan is called the “prince of the power of the air (Eph. 2: 2), and also the “ruler of this world” (John 12: 31). Those who understand these passages textually doubt if Satan cannot stop any individual from achieving successes.
This devotional is however, subscribing to a fact that Satan cannot stop anyone from actualizing his/her plans of dreams in life. Those who have allowed Satan to cause them stoppages in life are not aware of certain Biblical truths. Satan has no absolute powers to stop us Christians from anything. He does influence human beings into not doing things that will make them achieve fames in life. If you are a Christian reading this devotional today, and you fall among those who feel Satan absolutely control everything in this world, you are to have a rethink today. Stop allowing Satan to walk through your mind. Hear what Mahatma Gandhi said: “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.” In persevering to stop Satan from influencing your thoughts, there are Biblical proves that Satan cannot stop you! PRAYER:
Pray and ask God to grant you Biblical knowledge about how Satan has limited influence on human beings here on earth. Ask the Holy Spirit of God to show you areas Satan has no authority over you in Jesus name.
