Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) on Tuesday reinforced grassroots political leadership and rural economic development as he inaugurated newly elected ward and local government executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency and inspected a major rice cultivation and processing facility in Eggua, Yewa North.

The stakeholder gathering, which brought together party leaders and members across the constituency, marked the formal inauguration of the APC’s new ward and local government executives. The event underscored efforts to strengthen party structures at the grassroots and consolidate unity ahead of future political engagements.

Addressing stakeholders, Isiaka charged the newly inaugurated executives to uphold discipline, loyalty, and inclusiveness in the discharge of their responsibilities, emphasizing that strong local leadership remains the bedrock of sustainable political success.

Following the party event, GNI proceeded to Eggua in Yewa North to visit the Rice Cultivation and Processing Facility he facilitated into the constituency. The project is a privately driven initiative supported by the Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture and is designed to boost local agricultural production and promote value addition within the rice value chain.

The facility is expected to enhance food security, create employment opportunities, and stimulate economic activities in the area by supporting farmers with improved cultivation and processing capacity.

Observers say the dual engagement reflects a blend of political consolidation and economic empowerment efforts within the constituency, as Isiaka continues to align grassroots political organization with developmental initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods.
