APC Summons National Office Aspirants for Screening

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for the screening of aspirants seeking to contest for national offices at its forthcoming convention, directing all qualified contenders to appear in person at the venue with relevant documents.

 

In an official notice issued by the party’s Aspirants’ Screening Committee, the exercise will take place at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The committee emphasized that participation is mandatory for all aspirants who have completed the nomination process. According to the statement, the committee “hereby invites all aspirants who have duly purchased and submitted Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for National Offices at the Convention to attend the screening exercise.”

It further stressed strict compliance with the guidelines, noting that “all aspirants are required to attend in person and arrive promptly with all relevant supporting documents for verification.”

 

The notice, signed by the Secretary of the committee, H.E. Isa Yuguda, also provided contact lines for further enquiries, urging aspirants to seek clarification where necessary ahead of the exercise.

The screening is a critical step in the build-up to the APC National Convention, where party leaders are expected to emerge for key national positions.
