The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, outlining key processes including primaries, screening, and appeals in preparation for the polls.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the party.

According to the statement, the timetable—signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu details critical timelines for the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms, screening of aspirants, appeals processes, and the conduct of primary elections.

“The timetable outlines, among other activities, timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms,” the statement said.

The party assured its members and stakeholders of a transparent and credible process, reiterating its commitment to strengthening internal democracy ahead of the 2027 elections.

“The APC reassures members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the party’s internal democracy,” Morka stated.

The party added that the outlined schedule is part of broader efforts to consolidate its progressive ideals and ensure a well-organised transition into the 2027 electoral cycle.

Political observers say the early release of the timetable signals the ruling party’s readiness to set the tone for preparations ahead of the next general elections.
