Mrs. Christiana Uduak Umana has officially joined the race for the Bwari/AMAC Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections, after obtaining the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.
Umana picked up the forms on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Abuja, signaling her formal entry into the contest.

Speaking after the exercise, she pointed to her record of grassroots initiatives and pledged to deepen inclusive representation if elected. She said her decision to run is driven by a commitment to expand her ongoing contributions to community welfare.

“I have been doing a lot for the people of Bwari. I’ve supported education through scholarships, built houses for widows, and provided solar-powered homes. If given the opportunity, I can do even more,” she said.

She added that her ambition is anchored on service, continuity, and a clear understanding of the needs of the constituency.

Expressing gratitude, Umana said she remains hopeful about the journey ahead. “I thank God for this day, and I pray for success,” she stated.

She also called for greater participation of women in politics, emphasizing the need for increased female representation in governance.
“We need more women on the political platform. That is why I picked the nomination form — to show that women are ready to lead and contribute meaningfully,” she said.

Umana further praised ongoing development efforts in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), noting improvements in infrastructure and public services.

“The progress in the FCT is evident — from better road networks to improved electricity and infrastructure. I am committed to supporting and building on these achievements,” she added.
She reaffirmed her dedication to promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development across the Bwari/AMAC Federal Constituency.
