Taraba APC Heavyweights Submit Nomination Forms for Gov. Kefas Amid Show of Strength

A powerful delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Taraba State on Wednesday stormed Treasure Suites where they submited the expression of interest and nomination forms of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, in a bold political move widely seen as a demonstration of unity and early dominance ahead of the party’s internal contest.
Leading the delegation is senate Haruna Mamu, while addressing journalists shortly after the submission described the exercise as a strategic and collective endorsement of the governor, stressing that virtually all key political actors within the Taraba APC were present for the submission.
“What exactly are we doing here? Let me start by saying that virtually everyone who matters in Taraba State APC is present, and the reason is simple, to submit the expression of interest and nomination form of our governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas,” the delegation leader stated.
The high-powered delegation included notable figures such as Senator Shaibu, Senator Jim Kuta, members of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, as well as local government chairmen and other influential stakeholders across the state.
Sen. Haruna described the submission as symbolic of a “winning or victory form,” signaling strong internal consensus and confidence in Kefas’ candidacy.
“We are united in submitting what I would describe as a ‘winning or victory form’ for Dr. Agbu Kefas,” he said.
He further emphasized that the large turnout of party leaders reflects widespread grassroots and elite support for the governor, suggesting that the political landscape in Taraba is already tilting in his favour.
“The massive show of support from stakeholders across the state demonstrates clearly that Dr. Kefas enjoys widespread backing. It is a strong indication that this election is already taking shape in his favour,” he added.
According to him, the unity displayed by party stakeholders underscores a shared belief in Kefas’ leadership capacity and his suitability to continue steering the affairs of the state.
“This level of solidarity reflects confidence in his leadership and the belief that he is the right candidate for the job,” he concluded.
The development is expected to further consolidate Governor Kefas’ standing within the APC in Taraba State, as the party gradually builds momentum ahead of the next electoral cycle.
